How do you draw the illustrations?

Illustrations are always hand-drawn using a combination of freehand techniques and reference-based sketching to ensure precision and detail.

Illustrations are typically created in procreate on iPad using an Apple Pencil (subject to change).

What do you need to create an illustration?

Most illustrations are drawn based on a single photo that you upload.

How long does an illustration take?

Standard artworks usually take 4–8 hours, and detailed drawings 8–16 hours.

Custom Orders

How do I place an order for a custom illustration?

Simply fill out the order enquiry form. This form asks a few basic questions and for a copy of the image you'd like hand-drawn.

We'll review your request and get back to you with an agreement outlining timelines and deliverables.

How much does it cost?

Standard artwork
AUD$150 Launch special $120 for standard digital artwork of single subjects with a regular level of fidelity.

Premium artwork
AUD$280 Launch special $220 for extra detailed and multi-subject artwork.

Fox and Pencil can also be commissioned for any other work your mind can dream up!

How long does it take?

We always try to complete your illustration as quickly as possible, but will confirm the timeline in the final agreement.

A first draft may take up to 7 days, with an additional 72 hours for each round of edits.

A first draft of rush orders are completed within 48 hours (subject to availability), with an additional 24 hours for each round of edits.

What about physical prints?

You can add a range of standard-sized physical prints to your order at the time of enquiry. All physical prints are delivered by standard post by default.

Custom-sized prints may also be arranged (subject to availability).

What about other add-ons?

In the order enquiry form, you can also select additional add-ons such as rush-job or express delivery (subject to availability).

What about edits?

All orders come with one round of edits. Please see terms and conditions for more information.

How do I pay?

You'll be supplied a watermarked version of your artwork during drafting and editing. Once you're happy with the illustration, you'll be invoiced. Upon receipt of payment (via electronic transfer), we'll send you a high-res version of your illustration.
