"I'm too tired to brush my teeth," said Kiko, yawning.
Mum smiled. "Did you know that after we eat, tiny sugar bugs stay on our teeth? If we leave them there all night, they nibble little holes."
Kiko did not want any holes in his teeth! He squeezed a blob of toothpaste the size of a pea onto his brush.
Mum set the timer for two minutes.
Top teeth, round and round. Bottom teeth, round and round. The back teeth, where the sugar bugs love to hide. Then the front teeth: big smile!
Spit it out, and don't swallow.
Kiko looked in the mirror and gave a big, shiny smile. "Bye-bye, sugar bugs!"
Now Kiko brushes every morning and every night, and his teeth stay strong and bright.
What Kiko learned
Brush your teeth every morning and every night, for two minutes, all the way to the back. Clean teeth stay strong.
Talk about it
- Why did Kiko not want to brush his teeth?
- How long did Kiko brush for?
- Where do the sugar bugs like to hide?
Try it this week
Brush morning and night for two minutes. Colour half a star each time.
